Blog Assignment 4- Protests In Egypt
Recently we discussed the current events going in Egypt and why they are occurring. In at least 5 sentences explain to me what is happening to Egypt, how would you compare and contrast(how is it alike and how is it different) it to the American Revolution, and give me your opinion on if the U.S. should get involved or not. Remember this: we discussed how President Muburak has been an American ally for 31 years but also has taken away many rights of the Egyptian people. Don't forget to put your full name at the end of the comment.

In eygpt president Mubarak is quickly taking away peoples rights. how this is compared to the american revolution is people are fighting for their rights and trying to break free from a 'dictator'. how this is different from the american revolution is it's happening to a president, not a king and it's in the same place as the president. It is not happening across the ocean. I think that the US should not get into this and just tell Mubarak that they wish they could help him, but what he's doing is wrong. We fought for independence and we're not going to take it away from other people!!!!

Egypt's president Muburak is over-powering and taking the rights of Egypt citizens. The citizens want a democracy, but Muburak is dictating them. I think this is a little like the American Revolution, because from what I know Basically ALL the citizens want to kick him out of office, during the American Revolution there were some on either sides. But, I could see this like the American Revolution. Although we were allies i don't think we should get involved in this " war" because we are already at war and we don' want to be in another. Also we don't have to be in every single war.

P.S.Burak is in Mubarak. Burak sounds and looks like Barack. like Barack Obama.
The president of Egypt Mubarak is acting more like a dictator than a president. He is taking peoples' rights way too much. It might make sense to take a few to remind them they aren't the rulers unlike what King George the Third did, but he is taking way to many and is only going to make things worse. This is just like the American Revolution in the sense of taking away freedom and rights. We don't need to get involved in this war because we are in bad economic times and are already at war, we cannot afford to waste money and soldiers.

Some people in Egypt do not like the President! But some do. There has been a debate going on in Egypt. The people in Egypt have been throwing stuff at other people there and killing them to! They are fighting about if the President is good or not. Some people want him to stop being President, but some don't.

ReplyDeleteIN EGYPT THE PRES (OR SHOULD I SAY KING) HAS TAKEN AWAY THE RIGHT TO VOTE SO THAT HE CAN BE IN COMAND FOREVER AND EVER. THE PEOPLE HAVE GOTTEN REALLY TIRED OF HIM SO THEY WENT ON STRIKE.THIS IS LIKE THE REVOLUTION BECAUSE THE PRES (KING) HAS TAKEN AWAY ALL THEIR RIGHTS LIKE KING GEORGE TOOK AWAY ALL OF OUR RIGHTS. I THINK WE SHOULD LET EGYPT HANDLE THIS ONE ON THERE OWN BECAUSE WE ARE ALREADY IN A WAR. WE DO NOT NEED TO GET IN ANOTHER ONE.

The president of Egypt is taking away the right of his people to elect the person they want as president. It is like the American revelution because the egyptians are fighting against tyranny. It is not like the American revelution because it is not across the ocean but in there own country. I think the u.s should not get involved because egypt needs to make its own choices.

ReplyDeleteTHe problem is that the president of Eygpt is not being fair to the people. The Eygptians are protesting and the army has had to come. I don't think that the US should get involved becuase if another country got in our problems it would be annoying. Things in Eygpt are getting violent. They need their security to stop them not us.

The protests in Egypt have gotten horable. The presidant has not been fair to his people at all.I think that we should not get into this because then Egypt would not be allys with us any more. I think they should figure this out on there own. They should get everyone to help out and get this solved.
